Katrina is a postdoctoral researcher working on the MegaWat project, where she studies how mountain regions across Europe buffer against downstream droughts using land surface process modeling. She completed her PhD at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, studying the tectonic evolution of mountain landscapes and how long-term geomorphic dynamics influence biodiversity in Southeast Tibet.
