Caroline’s work focuses on understanding how mountain catchments, specifically ones with glaciers, are changing in a warming climate and how that affects the downstream water supply. She completed her Ph.D. in at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, in 2022, during which she assessed the changes in the hydrology of glacierized basins in the Canadian Rockies using a combination of field-based investigations and process-based hydrological modelling. Previously, she completed her M.Sc. at McGill University, in Canada, looking at glacier melt processes in the Peruvian Andes. Caroline joined the mountain hydrology group in Fall 2022 with a Banting postdoctoral fellowship. Her project aims to understand the cryosphere-groundwater-surface water interactions in the upper areas of the Langtang basin, in Nepal.
