Léo Martin

Postdoctoral researcher

Léo Martin works at understanding the environmental changes that occur on the Tibetan Plateau. He is mainly focused on unraveling the changes in permafrost and the active layer, how they contribute to the water balance of the Plateau and whether they affect hydrological system. To do so, he combines field observations with numerical modelling. Léo has previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo, where he was focused on permafrost hydrology, continental palaeoclimatology of glaciers and lakes, and cosmic ray exposure dating techniques. He holds a PhD degree from the Université de Lorraine.
